The Microsoft Cloud Pre-Sales Consultant is responsible for helping SWC’s clients identify and utilize Office 365 technologies within their businesses.  You will present and demonstrate our Microsoft Cloud solutions, identify potential opportunities, work with the delivery teams to scope projects, and work with the customers to close the business.   A successful candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of Office 365 collaboration solutions and assist clients identifying solution ROI.  This position requires the ability to gather high level business requirements and understand how technology solutions can address the customer’s challenge or opportunity


  • With a foundation of knowledge about SWC’s Microsoft Cloud solutions, identify possible sales and cross-selling opportunities within prospects and customers
  • Function as the customer’s advocate representing and driving customer opportunities with SWC practice managers
  • As the strategist, define the overall Office 365 project approach, goals and success criteria while developing a solution roadmap for the customer
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and statements of work for Office 365 project engagements
  • Perform customized product demonstration and present Microsoft Cloud solution demos for groups of potential clients
  • Innovate and evangelize Office 365 and Azure cloud solutions to internal technical teams to address all issues that may affect the delivery of the project
  • Cultivate relationships within accounts to expand SWC’s footprint and overall revenue
  • Maintain Microsoft relationships with field and product team
  • Manage and maintain social media presence for SWC with Office 365, blog, post, and content for marketing


  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred from an accredited university
  • 3 - 5 years of Office 365 with cloud (AWS / Azure / other cloud) experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of online offerings for Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Power BI, Exchange Online Solutions, Enterprise Mobility Suite and Azure.
  • Be willing to obtain and maintain CIE Certification via demonstrations for being a Microsoft Client
  • Track record of interacting and building relationships with CXO level clients
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Must be open to local travel to client sites within the Chicagoland area, Indiana and Wisconsin
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
