SWC Technology Partners is searching for an Agile Project Manager with experience in IT Solutions to join our Client Experience Practice.  This individual will work with teams of software developers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and project managers. This individual will be responsible for leading delivery teams and managing customers’ expectations in project technologies that include custom application development, data analytics / business intelligence, CRM, systems integrations, SharePoint / Office 365, and cloud infrastructure migrations.   

• Lead and support discovery and requirements gathering efforts
• Lead or support user story and functional design definition and documentation
• Support SWC or client Product Owner in backlog definition, prioritization and management
• Define resource requirements and distribution through active management of hours/points estimates and associated internal resource management
• Guide, manage and assist in multiple project-level efforts to apply, roll-out, new solutions as well as updates and enhancements to existing solutions
• Lead Agile meetings, create user stories and discovery workshops for custom IT solutions
• Conduct current state assessments of business processes and supporting systems
• Act as liaison between change requestor and software development team. Address development team needs efficiently and effectively; create release timelines and plans; coach team on solution delivery, and risk mitigation
• Lead and coach, you will educate and lead the team in applying Agile / Scrum concepts and principles and staying focused on quality, predictability, flow and velocity of development
• Strong leadership skills facilitating meetings with developers by providing functional clarification and setting delivery expectations with team and client while also managing budget
• Support the projects on-time delivery, find and eliminate impediments, actively address issues, and build a high-performing, continuous improvement team environment
• Manage all time input and billing activities ensuring completion in a timely manner

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field to Computer Science
• 3 - 5 years’ years of solid experience leading software development teams and coaching agile / scrum meetings with internal teams
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle and demonstrate success leading multiple project teams to completion while mitigating risks
• A track record of applying Scrum / Agile methodologies in a software solutions environment
• Ability to manage traditional Waterfall projects in additional to Agile preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, along with strong facilitation and collaboration skills
• Certification in Agile methodologies (PMI-ACP. CSM, CSP, SA, SASM) is a plus
• Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required; Jira and Microsoft Project preferred
• Excels at operating in a fast-paced technical environment
• Ability to solve problems, identify solutions, mitigate risks, and appropriately escalate issues and decisions
• Must be local to the Chicagoland area and have business experience
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
