  • Overview

    SWC Technology Partners is searching for a full-time Pre-sales Engineer to be tech-savvy in order to participate in all aspects of a Data Analytics sales lifecycle using Microsoft Azure and Data Analytics technologies. This position will be working closely with our clients, engagement managers and be the trusted advisor for the sales of data analytics solutions. This role is exposed to a wide range of technologies, roles, and client environments. This position will report to the Data Analytics Director.


    • Technical Pre-sales:  engaged in pre-sales activities, from presentations, interact with customers and project leaders to define and participate in analytics sales presentations
    • Discovery:  Conduct discovery sessions with clients to build relationships with the customer and identify their unique needs
    • Demonstrate:  deep knowledge of analytics, compose and deliver superior sales presentations covering Data Analytics and cloud solutions to include PowerBI, Tableau, Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) custom solutions
    • Customer Experience:  the liaison between the customer and delivery stakeholders; proposing value added solutions
    • Author: prepare customized proposal decks for each client delivering superior sales presentations and coordinate with Engagement Managers on Statements of Work, (SOW) creation; assist in shaping customized analytics technology solutions
    • Communication: interactive analytics functional discovery and design needs
    • Support: the sales of analytics projects at the client from a technical point of view
    • Train:  Partake in technology training to learn various Data Analytics / Business Intelligence technology offerings to represent as subject matter expert (SME), ensuring to stay up to date on all current Data Analytics technologies


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
    • 5+ years of Data Analytics/Azure pre-sales delivery experience using Microsoft technologies
    • Must have superior presentation skills; act as Analytics SME at articulating and designing custom solutions
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, strong attitude to succeed, energy and enthusiasm to sell Analytics solutions
    • Strong eye for detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Candidate must be willing to train in BI technologies to participate in business functional discovery
    • Experience with AWS is a plus
    • Must be local to Chicagoland and open to local travel to client sites, if needed
    • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
